They claim the police killed a 29 years old man, Mark Duggan, and they were demanding more information. It seemed to be peacefull at first, but it turned violent at the end.

I see this kind riots all the time on my country. I support their demands for more information, but I'm against riots because I know of first hand how much it can affect small business.

you see most of this 'rioters' are youths 11-15 years old using this opportunity to rob and get some fun and the problem is there is not enough police on the streets

first of all, I do not condone riots. but I do understand the reasons for many of them.

Were I come from (Puerto Rico) the main problem has become the corruption in our government. there have been no major riots here but I know its only a matter of time before something happens.

The riot's spread to Brighton too from what I've heard. I just hope a mate come's back safe, she's gone over to spend time with family and she's close to the London Riot (~20 minutes from where they currently are).

The police are also considering using rubber bullets to arrest the rioters, problem is jail is too nice for people causing so much hassle. They may aswell just use actual bullets. Using rubber bullets is just gonna encourage the rioters to get ahold of a gun and shoot back. It's best they found the quickest end to this as possible, rather than risk lives. Just my opinion tho.

Ehh, theyre missing out the ukrainian and russian police, that would have just shot you in the leg and swore at you, so you never come back again! Well there is a certain stupid law in UK, which says that police staff's weapons should be taken away and secured during mass riots so that policemen dont shoot into someone if they get angry. Imho, they just should have called in the Royal Marines or Commandos to shoot those bastards to the death already!

By what I've seen the armed response unit is absolutely useless, takes hours to set up and most didn't even reach where they wanted to.

Bring in the water cannons and spray them imho, will be efficient in taking out large numbers.

No, Stahlmann. Have you seen the main contingent? It's youth, and it's poor youth. A LOT of Muslims. I'm not for religious discrimination, but these guys are sorta radicals. If you have taken notice, "rioters" are black/arab males, aged 13-18, from poor backgrounds, poor districts. Man, they have just went mad because one of "theirs" was killed. It's like a nation would have gone mad if their president was killed, so had this "little" society their respected member killed. And a lot of these kid bastards joined in ONLY FOR MARAUDING. Real protesters are peaceful. The ones that maraud and fight aren't protesters, they are some side join-ups that have tasted the scent of free luxuries.

Supershocky, you are wrong. Firemen are all used at distinguishing numerous fires across the distressed region. If you have seen the news, part of London looks like back at 1943. So I guess they have better job to do than splash some mad teen brat away with water.

For some strange reason I still don't know why these riots even started. The person dying happened after the riots already started from what I read. If its problems with the government, thats what everyone has these days, but you don't go and destroy your own damn towns.

I personally don't know the distress or troubles going on in London, but this should be handled with rubber bullets and hoses. The police are so disorganized as well. Let them watch the movie 300 so they know how to move forward in an orderly fashion to push back the rioters, thats how its usually done, seems like they have no training. It looks like two groups of thugs going at it, just the others in uniform. No real bullets should be used because politically speaking, that is a terrible move to make. Just beat the S*** outta those dumb kids.

As for protest, it has been proven the best for of protest is NON-violent protest, joining together and standing strong for a true cause. These are obviously a bunch of stupid youths destroying for no reason except for destruction.
