| Awesome! Good luck on the journey, hope all goes well man! I don't have any input from a military standpoint, so I will let Widget pop in a take over, if he feels up to it .

| Keep in mind the core values of the Marine Corps (they can be found in our BootCamp). ____________________________________________________________________________________________ |

| You know what MOS you shooting for? The more research you do on what career path you want to do, the better the recruiter can help you. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Cmdr.Ghost 2nd Lieutenant 13th M.E.U. |

| Nice, that's what I wanted to do, couldn't wait to fly those F16s. But I had bronchitis so they wouldn't admit me or waive it and said screw it.
My 2 cents from my brother's experience, dress well, not a suit or anything but not a bum either. Bring with you a list of serious, direct, to-the-point questions. Two things you should really ask is the job path you need to take to become a pilot. You wouldn't want to take the wrong MOS. But I believe you decide this after or soon before you pass boot camp. The other one to ask is how long for you to be notified of the acceptance and how long from that do you head off to BC. Anything else that concerns you, duration, living, benefits yada yada.
Be courteous and polite. Other than that, better start training. The earlier the better as boot camp is not something to mess with. It'll kick your behind if you haven't done any rigours excerises. The more you prepare ahead of time the more ahead you'll be than if you had not prepared.

| What do you want to do in aviation? Be a pilot or work, direct, or be around airplanes? For a pilot, you'll have to do NROTC or PLC, and become an officer, pretty much anything else is enlisted. So yeah. I've been dabbling a little bit into Marine stuff for my future, see how it works out. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ 100,000th Post Poster.
Life is a game. Your timer starts when you are born and ends when you die. There are no winners, losers or tiebreakers. However, the objective is to make the right choices in life. The keys are the people you know, yourself, and everyone else in the world. Are you prepared to make the right choices and use the keys correctly, or will you cheat your way through life, causing the keys to shatter, and live the rest of your life in regret? Choose wisely, your clock is ticking.

| I don't believe you need any "ROTC" programs to do what you want to do. It all depends on your ASVAB, MOS, and if you pass all the required testing. |

| I know more about Army than the Marines, but from what I remember Marine Aviators actually have to go through the Navy's flight program and need at least a bachelors degree. NROTC/PLC would help if you are planning on becoming an officer directly while in college, but if your going in as enlisted, then you'd have to go through OCS first and then flight school I think. (This is something you could ask your recruiter) Like Trister said, look presentable, and ask questions, be polite, and come prepared with specific questions. Ask about qualifications, how exactly you would get to your career, salary, how the job demand is currently, stuff like that. Good Luck! EDIT: All this is assuming you want to be a pilot ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Cmdr.Ghost 2nd Lieutenant 13th M.E.U. |

| In the long run I want to be a pilot, but I just talked with the recruiter and I'm seriously thinking about doing the delayed entry program just I havent chosen what MOS yet. My ASVAB score is high enough where I could do almost everything, but I havent decided yet.
